The Camco RhinoFLEX 20-foot kit, model 39742, is built around two collapsible 10-foot hose sections. That split design makes it easier to use only the length a campsite needs while keeping an extension available for awkward hookups.

Quick verdict: A strong starter kit for RV owners who want flexible reach and commonly needed fittings in one package. Measure the RV’s storage tube first, and plan for gloves, a hose support and a separate rinse-water setup.

What the kit is designed to include

  • Two 10-foot collapsible RhinoFLEX sewer-hose sections.
  • A transparent elbow so flow can be observed without opening the connection.
  • A 4-in-1 adapter intended to fit common dump-station inlets.
  • Bayonet-style connections and storage caps.

Camco describes RhinoFLEX as its most flexible sewer hose and highlights the collapsible construction for maneuvering around campsite obstacles and saving storage space. Because retailer bundles can change, match model 39742 and check the current package contents before ordering.

Fit checks before buying

  1. Reach: Measure from the RV outlet to typical campsite inlets with enough slack for a gradual slope. Avoid stretching a hose tight.
  2. Storage: Confirm the capped hose and fittings fit the bumper, carrier or dedicated sanitation bin. Some elbows will not fit inside a standard bumper.
  3. Outlet connection: Inspect the RV bayonet lugs and seals. A worn termination fitting can leak even with a new hose.
  4. Site rules: Some campgrounds require a sewer-hose support or threaded/sealed inlet adapter.

A cleaner dump-station routine

Wear disposable gloves, connect the elbow securely, and keep the waste hose downhill without sharp bends. Empty the black tank first and the gray tank second so gray water helps rinse the hose. Follow the RV and campground instructions; never leave a valve open simply because a full-hookup site is available.

Use a water source and hose clearly designated for sewer cleanup—never the drinking-water hose. After draining, cap both ends, disinfect tools and wash hands thoroughly. Store sanitation gear separately from potable-water equipment.

Maintenance and replacement

Inspect the hose before every trip for pinholes, crushed wire, loose fittings and hardened seals. Rinse and dry it as conditions allow, protect it from dragging and traffic, and replace it when damage or odor retention makes reliable cleanup doubtful. Carrying a spare seal and a short extension can prevent an unpleasant campsite improvisation.

Our buying take

The two-section layout is the main reason to choose this kit over a single long hose. It provides flexible reach without forcing every campsite setup to use all 20 feet. The right choice still depends on storage dimensions and the fittings already on the RV.
